Architecture, Engineering + Interior Design | Business AfterSchool

This workshop will illustrate the wide breadth of opportunities available in the design industry, regardless of personality type. Hands-on activities will include experimenting with virtual reality, as well as handling many different building materials and understanding the material selection and building component process. Middle school students will learn about the difference between an archtect, interior designer, and an electrical engineer.

Spokane’s largest architectural firm, NAC Architecture provides architectural, electrical engineering, and interior design services. With additional offices in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Shanghai, the firm’s 180 professionals create sustainable environments for learning, healing and human development. Notable local designs include the Looff Carrousel, the Fox Theater, Ferris High School, The M (Macy’s Building Redevelopment), and the Riverfront Park Pavilion.

This workshop is designed specifically for middle school students.
