To Flush or Not to Flush?

Only a few items are truly flushable – yet many of us flush all sorts of things! Join Spokane County Water Resource Center, an Envirokids’ Club partner, to learn about what happens to the water you flush and then watch a demonstration to see what can and cannot be flushed. Better yet, find these items in your home and follow along! -- Deep bowl or empty tennis ball container with lid (fill half way with water), spoon or whisk, facial tissue, paper towel, toilet paper, cotton balls, cotton swabs, “flushable” disinfectant or baby wipe, and any other items you’ve flushed before. Register at https://scld.evanced.info/signup/EventDetails?EventId=72522. Spokane EnviroKids’ Club is a way for kids in Spokane County to team up to explore all parts of the environment: air, water, weather, garbage & recycling, plants & animals, you and your environment. It is for children in Kindergarten through 6th grades who live in Spokane County. Visit https://sites.google.com/site/spokaneenvirokids/home.
